Boys & Girls Club
This new 28,000 s.f. clubhouse located in Gardiner, Maine was completed in the fall of 2021. The new facility replaces a smaller aging building that was beyond its useful life on the same site. To allow the club to stay open during construction, the design called for a new building to be erected on an existing soccer field adjacent to the existing building. Once the new facility was complete and operational, the old building was demolished and a new soccer field constructed in its place.
The facility offers all day programming for infants and pre-schoolers along with before and after school programs for school aged children. The building includes a full commercial kitchen with cafeteria, a multi-purpose recreation room, administrative offices, and program space for infant and toddler care, as well as, pre-school and school age classrooms and a teen center.
Located in a residential area adjacent to the local high school, the project includes extensive age-appropriate outdoor play areas and a full regulation soccer field.
